Question by : What is a better honeymoon destination- Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, or Playa del Carmen?
My fiance and I have an option to going to one of three destinations in Mexico for our honeymoon. Which do you recommend and why- Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta or Playa del Carmen? We are looking for beach, snorkeling, and relaxation with an occasional fun excursion.

Acapulco is dangerous now. Tourists have been killed by drug lords. I would steer clear of Mexico altogether but Puerto Vallerta might be your best bet if you are going to go.

Paris (pronounced /ˈpærɪs/ in English; [paʁi] (help·info) in French) is the capital of France and the country’s largest city. It is situated on the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Île-de-France region (also known as the “Paris Region”; French: Région parisienne). The city of Paris, within its limits largely unchanged since 1860, has an estimated population of 2167994 (January 2006),[2] but the Paris aire urbaine (or metropolitan area) has a population of nearly 12 million,[3] and is one of the most populated metropolitan areas in Europe.[4] An important settlement for more than two millennia, Paris is today one of the world’s leading business and cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world’s major global cities.[5] According to 2005 estimates, the Paris urban area is Europe’s biggest city economy,[6] and is fifth in the world’s list of cities by GDP.[7] Paris and the Paris Region, with €533.6 billion (US1.3 billion) in 2007, produces more than a quarter of the gross domestic product (GDP) of France.[8] The Paris Region hosts 37 of the Fortune Global 500 companies[9] in several business districts, notably La Défense, the largest purpose-built business district in Europe.[10] Paris also hosts many international organizations such as UNESCO, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Chamber of …

Question by Jenn: Honeymoon registry?
Do you guys really think it’s that bad to have one? Before I planned on having one, I had people asking me what we needed and since we have lived together for 5 years, we have all household items. When I brought this option up, a lot of people were excited about it and thought it was a great idea. Then, I got on a “destination wedding etiquette” web page and asked if it was an okay thing to do. The experts responded that it was just the same as a regular registry and actually really growing in popularity. We are only inviting 40 people to the wedding and have included things in a variety of price ranges. I would hope this wouldn’t come across as rude as people have a registry anyway…so what is the difference. Go check my site out…I want serious opinions. I really don’t want to come across as rude to my guests.
You have to click on honeymoon registry right beside weding details….

If you don’t agree with this…do you have any other ideas? We are paying for our honeymoon, most of the gifts are for things to do while there…restaraunts, souveniers, etc. What if I took off the option for plane tickets and rental car? Would that be better?
But when registrys were first introduced, brides were virgins until their wedding night and weddings were never held on a beach and especially not so far from home! So, why would the purpose and ways of a registry stay the same, but everything else changes? Trust me, I am not wanting to argue…I really appreciate all opinions. But, can’t you see it that way too? Thanks so much for all of your answers! I will keep this open for a while longer as I truly want a lot of input on this. The last thing I want to do is offend people! Oh, and just so you know, we already have the $ saved up for the wedding and honeymoon, so it’s not like we NEED the honeymoon registry, I just thought it would be something we could really use and isn’t that the true purpose of the wedding registry?
Any money that we saved for the honeymoon but didn’t use due to the registry would be used as part of the down payment on our first home.

Sorry, I know your heart is in the right place, but I don’t think it’s a good idea. A bridal registry’s intent is to set up the bride and groom in their new home. The honeymoon should really be paid for by the bride and groom.
EDIT: My suggestion would be if people ask to just say “We’re all set with things for the house” and leave it at that. There is no rule that says you “have” to have a registry of any type.
